There is not much more special and fleeting than when your new addition arrives. Be sure to capture this chapter with a session that suits you and your family best.
The Storybridge Experience
With my background as a student midwife, I know how incredibly wonderful, challenging and just plain tiring those first few weeks can be. That is why I have designed Storybridge Newborn Sessions to be as accommodating as possible.
Step One: Book your session
Reach out as early as possible during your pregnancy. I will pencil a date into my calendar for around 7 days after your due date, giving us a starting point without expecting your little one to arrive according to schedule.
Step Two: Baby arrives
Once your baby is here, simply send me a message and we will confirm your session date together. If baby arrives earlier or later than expected, that is completely okay. We will adjust things around you.
Step Three: I help you prepare
Before your session, I will send through everything you need to know, including what to wear, what to bring and how to prepare. You do not need to have everything figured out yourself.
Step Four: Your session
On the day, we work at your baby's pace. There is time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling whenever it is needed. There is no expectation for your baby to sleep the whole time or behave a particular way. Whether it is easier for me to come to you, or for you to come into the studio, both options are available to you.

Just As You Are
There is no need for your baby to sleep or settle perfectly. Feeding, cuddles, changes and pauses are all welcome, and we simply work at their pace.
Newborn Collections.
There are two ways we can approach your newborn session, depending on the photographs you would love to come away with.
Lifestyle
Relaxed, natural and centred around connection. Your baby is photographed mostly in your arms or another comfortable space, with simple wrapping and gentle guidance along the way.
We will capture your little one, all those tiny details, and plenty of photographs with parents and siblings.
Lifestyle + Posed
Everything included in a Lifestyle session, with additional time dedicated to creating carefully posed portraits of your baby.
Alongside all of those natural moments and photographs together, I will gently settle and pose your baby using simple wraps, blankets and setups.

The relaxed Storybridge newborn experience
Lifestyle is for families wanting to preserve those first weeks in a natural, connection focused way. The emphasis is less on creating posed newborn setups and more on your baby just as they are, the little details, and the way your family fits together around them.
Your baby might be wrapped, cuddled, fed, settled or simply photographed in your arms. I will gently guide you throughout, while leaving plenty of room for the real moments to unfold naturally.

Approximately 60 minutes of session time
At home or at the Storybridge Studio
Parents and siblings welcome
